Powerful Rock Splitters
The Powerful Rock Splitter is a larger, more powerful version of Hirado’s renowned Rock Splitter.
Used on excavators, cranes or other carriers with hydraulics, applications include the breaking of rocks and concrete foundations.
Hirado’s Rock Splitter has been in use since 1966 in construction sites in Japan and worldwide and is renowned for its quality, durability and extreme power.

Restrictions for blasting rock are getting stricter worldwide, prompting users to find a safer solution.
Altough Rock Breaker/Hammers can be a solution, noise,vibration, dust regulations or simply the hardness of the rock may prevent the the use of them.
Hirado’s Powerful Rock Splitter is the solution to all of these problems as it is safe, vibration free, dust free and extremely powerful.
The wedge principle (Shown on the right) works by adding power to the A direction, resulting in the power transferred to the B direction to become
even larger. The eventual direction power and splitting distance of B are decided by the counter wedge angle.
Hirado’s Powerful Rock Splitter makes full use of this principle by using the hydraulic pressure to push into the A direction and generate splitting powers up to 3600 ton.

The wedges of the Powerful Rock Splitter are specially designed to endure extreme power and last long. In addition to the standard wedges, customized wedges can be produced as well to suit the needs of the user.
Operation of the Powerful Rock Splitter is simple and it can be attached to a majority of excavators (7 ton+).
Depending on the model, the Powerful Rock Splitter uses 25 or 35MPa of Hydraulic Pressure, which is achieved by connecting the hoses to the excavator connections.

In addition, Hirado’s Powerful Rock Splitter utilizes a unique and innovative valve system. This system ensures that the pressure from the excavator does not need to be calibrated, prevents wear and damage due to overpressure and allows for a simple plug-and-go action to save valuable time.

Rock Splitters

The PD-0 can be used for the same applications as the Powerful Rock Splitter, but vertical splitting is made easier.
Operation is done entirely from the excavator cabin, increasing safety and productivity.

Rock Splitter w/ Drill
The PD-1 combines Hirado’s rock splitting and drilling technologies into 1 powerful attachment.
Using technolgies developed for Hirado’s Rock Splitter,the PD-1 can break bedrocks and boulders with ease.
By adding a specially developed drill system, the entire operation of drilling and splitting rocks can be done from inside of the cabin.
Optionally, an automatic lubcrication unit can be attached for easy maintenance.
The PD-1 is available for most excavators in the 9 ton class or bigger.
The PD-1 is efficient, safe, fast and powerful can be used for a wide variety of rock splitting.
Wall Crusher
The Wall Crusher is a portable demolition tool, designed to break concrete walls up to 430mm thick.
Especially used in environmentally sensitive areas, the Wall Crusher is vibration free, dust free and extremely silent (Less than 65Dba).
User friendly, the Wall Crusher can be used for breaking reinforced concrete structures such as hospitals, subways, apartments and office buildings.
The Wall Crusher is compact and lightweight and be easily carried onto scaffolds for breaking structures which are not easily accessible.

Attachable Drill
Hirado’s original Attachable Drills come in a variety of models, each suited for a specific drilling task.
Using patented technology, the Attachable Drills can be attached to any type of excavator and are inexpensive.
Operation is simple and completely done from inside the cabin, freeing workers from dust, vibration and noise.
Applications include but are not limited to:

The Attachable Drills are available in the following series:
UDR: Simple and lightweight model. Feeder cylinder extends.
UDRW: Non-extending feeder cylinder model. Fixed length, ideal for narrow working sites
UDR350 : Large drill mounted model with a non-extending feeder.
With the exception of UDR350, the UDR and UDRW can be attached to the excavator by using the excavator bucket.
Optionally a bracket type attachment is available for the UDR and UDRW for easy switching of attachments.
The UDR120 is attached to the excavator by using a special bracket only.
