The newly developed Klemm KD2117 hydraulic drifter has significantly reduced in weight compared to the KD1215R and is the first superposition hydraulic drifter in the world to have a high-pressure impact mechanism and a slim impact piston, which enables a high impact frequency despite its high impact mass. This in turn improves the energy efficiency of the impact mechanism.
With its high torque, large damping and large plug-in connection threads, the drifter is very robust and ideal for overlay drilling, both individually and in a heavy double-head drilling rig.
As an alternative to the conventional hydraulic damping unit, a version with mechanical, rotating damping unit is also available.
