The alluminium cap for the DMT terminal male connector is used  to protect it against dirt, water and accidental impact with other components.
 
Important Note: The aluminium cap for terminal male is not designed to check air tightness and will explode with minimum pressure. Use the closed ended terminal for checking air tightness.
